MACS involvement = Detailing and co-ordination with design team.

MACS were asked to detail a bespoke healthcare facility at an existing hospital site in Birmingham with a total development value in excess of £4.5m. The facility was designed specifically to allow bereaved families to create a calming environment during bereavement through difficult times. The building featured curved facades, central courtyard / garden area with overhanging canopy details formed using a combination of hot-rolled and cold-rolled steelwork. MACS worked in collaboration with Design Engine Structures to provide a light gauge steel frame building solution on time and on budget for the client. It was a pleasure for MACS to be involved in such a groundbreaking project that will offer support and care to families in need for many years to come.
