The project with a total development value of £5.3m to redevelop the former Bangor. Social Club site comprising of a 38 one; two-bedroom apartment block in Bangor City Centre. The development featured a varied retail option at ground floor level, including private and rental apartments to the upper floor levels. MACS were engaged to develop a bespoke fully load bearing LGSF solution using a mixture of cold-rolled steel walls and floor joists including hot-rolled steel beams; columns alongside SIPS timber frame external walls. All cold rolled steel walls; floor steelwork were delivered to site in a specific build sequence to provide a fast and seamless installation process which was integrated with the SIPS timber fame external wall system on site.
This project was a perfect example of how multiple systems can be used in collaboration to provide a bespoke solution with great effect.
